Gessle: "Roxette release a new"
Roxette is back in Stuttgart. At the end of next year the duo released their first album in nine years. It reveals Per Gessle of the newspaper during the band's current tour with the "Night of the Proms 2009".
Good feeling. "It feels amazing," says Per Gessle on the next album to be recorded in Stockholm and in Österlen.
- I have already written 14 new songs. Two more and we have a disc, "Per is on the cell phone before Marie & him appear on stage in Stuttgart.
Now it becomes a reality. The first completely newly recorded Roxette album since "Room Service" 2001.
- It feels great, admits Per.
Studio time is booked in the spring of Atlantis and the Polar Studio in Stockholm and with Christoffer Lundquist down Österlen where Gessle has recorded his latest album as a solo artist and with Son of a Plumber..
- Since Marie wanted to put the song in Stockholm, we chose to do so.
With the tour are studio equipments, so Per, Marie, Christopher and Clarence Öfwerman between gigs have been in the business with the new material.
- We test ourselves with different arrangements and so put Marie on vocals. It's funny how any time and Marie really passionate for it.

Of the on going "Night of the Proms" tour makes Roxette tonight in Frankfurt on 30th gig of a total of 42 years ending in Dortmund on 20 December.
- It is a rather strange concept with a mix of rock, pop and classical. But for us it's a perfect start, because we only run five songs, "says Per.

- Yes, it feels as if it played more Roxette again compared to several years ago and that we are timely. I received an email from Anders Herrlin past which are in New Zealand. He said that there Roxette was played several times a day and he took nothing ... Per laughs.
But so does Roxette after "Wish I Could Fly" - "the only song that was written for strings and this is really powerful" - in the first act, then four U.S. ones to deliver in the second section, "The Look", " It must have been love, "Joyride" and "Listen to your heart."
Or as Per is not without a certain pride Notes:
